James F. “Jim” White, a lifelong Minnesotan and respected community leader, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at the age of 90. Born and raised in Lakeville, he graduated from Lakeville High School before building a remarkable career as a funeral director, expanding White Funeral Home across several communities. Jim also served his state in the Minnesota House of Representatives and was deeply involved in civic life. Among his many contributions to the local community, he was a founding member of the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce, helping shape the region’s business community and strengthen local connections. He is remembered for his devotion to family, faith, and service.
